Lotta greco-romana: i ranking mondiali a fine 2014

Dopo i ranking mondiali di lotta libera e di lotta femminile, non ci restano da analizzare che le classifiche di fine anno della lotta greco-romana.

Come da tradizione, questa specialità si conferma come quella più cosmopolita tra quelle della lotta olimpica, infatti i primati delle otto categorie di peso spettano ad altrettante nazioni diverse. Al comando troviamo dunque l’iraniano Hamid Sourian (59 kg), il serbo Davor Štefanek (66 kg), il russo Chingiz Labazanov (71 kg), il sudcoreano Kim Hyeon-Woo (75 kg), l’ungherese Péter Bácsi (80 kg), il francese Mélonin Noumonvi (85 kg), l’armeno Artur Aleksanyan (98 kg) ed il cubano Mijaín López Núñez (130 kg). Tra questi troviamo sette campioni iridati, con l’unica eccezione di Kim, che grazie alla vittoria degli Asian Games è riuscito a tenere alle sue spalle l’armeno Arsen Julfalakyan, impendendo così alla piccola repubblica del Caucaso di essere l’unico Paese con due numeri uno mondiali.

L’Italia, invece, paga i problemi fisici di Daigoro Timoncini, che dopo un buon inizio di 2014 ha mancato la maggioranza degli appuntamenti più importanti della stagione, uscendo così dalla lista dei migliori interpreti mondiali.
