Lotta greco-romana: Timoncini è settimo nel ranking mondiale
Miglior interprete azzurro della lotta greco-romana, Daigoro Timoncini continua la sua scalata nel ranking mondiale della categoria 98 kg. L’atleta romagnolo ha infatti guadagnato una nuova posizione nel mese di luglio, ed è ora settimo. Al comando troviamo sempre il campione mondiale in carica, l’armeno Artur Aleksanyan.
Tra le novità, segnaliamo il cambiamento di leadership nella categoria 80 kg, dove il russo Evgeni Saleev, vincitore della medaglia d’oro agli European Games di Baku 2015, ha scavalcato l’azero Rafik Huseynov dopo averlo sconfitto nello scontro diretto proprio nella finale dei Giochi Europei. Risale dalla sedicesima alla prima posizione Davit Chakvetadze (85 kg), altro russo medagliato d’oro a Baku, che approfitta del passaggio (provvisorio) del campione iridato francese Mélonin Noumonvi nella categoria superiore, che lo fa scivolare al terzo posto.
