Tennis, Australian Open 2016: programma, orari e tv di mercoledì 27 gennaio

Nel day 10 degli Australian Open 2016 si chiudono i quarti di finale del tabellone maschile e femminile. Vedremo nuovamente in campo Andy Murray, dopo la non brillante vittoria su Bernard Tomic, contro il coriaceo David Ferrer che, invece, ha ben impressionato nell’ottavo, opposto a John Isner. Lo scozzese può contare su una tradizione favorevole nei 18 precedenti: 12 vittorie per il vincitore di Wimbledon 2013, 5 delle quali consecutive, contro le 6 di Ferrer.  Altro confronto interessante quello tra Milos Raonic e Gael Monfils con il canadese favorito per la continuità di gioco dimostrata nello Slam. La vittoria su Stan Wawrinka, nel turno precedente ed i miglioramenti mostrati soprattutto sul piano caratteriale fanno pendere il piatto della bilancia dalla parte di Raonic. Vero è che da Monfils ci si può aspettare di tutto perchè dotato di un tennis a tratti ingiocabile per i suoi avversari. Nel draw femminile, nuovamente in campo Vika Azarenka nel remake della finale del WTA di Brisbane vinto della bielorussa contro la tedesca Angelique Kerber. Vika è la favorita per l’eccezionale potenza nei colpi dimostrati nei match disputati e la solidità mentale, paragonabile a quella del 2012. L’altro dato importante, in conclusione, è la mancanza del colore azzurro vista l’eliminazioni di tutti i nostri portacolori anche nel torneo junior.
