Pattinaggio di figura, Mondiali: l’albo d’oro e il medagliere storico della rassegna iridata
Dopo l’edizione di Los Angeles 2009, i Campionati Mondiali di pattinaggio di figura tornano quest’anno negli Stati Uniti, organizzati per la prima volta in assoluto a Boston. La rassegna iridata avrà luogo ben 120 anni dopo la prima edizione di San Pietroburgo 1896, quando il tedesco Gilbert Fuchs vinse l’unica medaglia d’oro in palio, quella degli uomini. Ripercorriamo dunque tutte le medaglie assegnate nella storia della competizione fino a quella di Shanghai 2015.
UOMINI
Come anticipato, il primo titolo assoluto fu vinto dal tedesco Gilbert Fuchs a San Pietroburgo nel 1896. Il maggior numero di titoli, invece, spetta allo svedese Ulrich Salchow, vincitore per ben dieci volte, mentre l’austriaco Karl Schafer detiene il primato delle medaglie d’oro consecutive, ben sette. L’unico podio azzurro risale al 1953, quando sul ghiaccio svizzero di Davos arrivò il terzo posto di Carlo Fassi.
