Classifica Vuelta a España 2024, diciassettesima tappa: O’Connor conserva la maglia rossa, Roglic in agguato
La classifica generale della Vuelta di Spagna non cambia nelle posizioni che contano al termine della diciassettesima tappa: la frazione per velocisti conclusa a Santander non ha creato distacchi tra i big in lotta per il trionfo finale e così tutto è rimandato agli ultimi giorni di gara, che prevedono due arrivi in salita e la cronometro conclusiva a Madrid.
L’australiano Ben O’Connor conserva la maglia rossa di leader della graduatoria, ma ormai il capitano della Decathlon AG2R La Mondiale ha dilapidato tutto il vantaggio accumulato grazie a una fuga bidone. L’oceanico conserva cinque secondi di margine nei confronti dello sloveno Primoz Roglic (Red Bull-BORA-hansgrohe).
Lo spagnolo Enric Mas (Movistar) è terzo a 1’25” seguito dall’ecuadoriano Richard Carapaz (EF Education EasyPost, quarto a 1’46”). Lo spagnolo Mikel Landa (Soudal Quick-Step) è quinto a 2’18”, poi a seguire il francese David Gaudu a 3’48” e l’altro iberico Carlos Rodriguez a 3’53”.
